Drank the one I'm rating straight from the bottle (no other options), so I'm giving it a 3 based on what I recall about it from the numerous times I've ordered it out. I don't recall anything particularly exciting about how it looked, nor anything unappetizing.
Smells slightly of hops and citrus. Faint hints but enough to simulate the taste buds.
Tastes of hops, spice, and citrus. The citrus is only a faint aftertaste. The hops are mild and the spices are barely there, but they add a hint of vibrancy. This is a really tasty beer and a fairly complex flavor profile for Sam Adams.
Excellent mouthfeel. Crisp and clean, but very full-bodied and creamy upon a swish.
This is one of the best selections available from the brewery that continually impresses!
