A: Pours crystal-clear golden yellow with 1-finger head. Bubbly with no lacing on my beer mug. Looks like a lite macro brew.
S: Sweet and bready up-front with a saaz hop finish. Light and a little bit tangy.
T: Bright taste up front with a crisp, clean-dry finish. The hop characteristic is definitely there, and well reminiscent of a Bavarian-style pilsner. Notes: Bready, raspberry-wheat, raw honey, with a definite hallertau finish (a little muddy.)
M: Clean and crisp in the mouth with a good dry finish. The aftertaste gets a little dank-feeling and the substance of this beer is light, so it doesn't win you over on the feel.
D: Very drinkable, provided you like the flavor. Light and crisp, this is a good choice for spring.
Sam Adams seems to be going in the right direction with this beer, though it still has familiar trappings of mass-produced beer.
