A: Deep brown/mahogany in color with 1/2 finger of off-white head encircling the glass's circumference. A decent amount of frothy lacing slides down the sides of the glass.
S: A strong dose of roasted malts and coffee mixes with distinct aromas of butterscotch and dark fruit.
T: Very complex - strong notes of roasted malt intermingle with earthy wood notes, burnt coffee, baking chocolate and black currents. Notes of black cheery and butterscotch also come through. Very interesting, but the diverse array of flavors fails to achieve the cohesiveness of an elite brew.
M: Very thick and syrupy, almost chewy.
D: I don't have much experience with Wee Heavies, but this is a decent big beer. Really complex flavors make this an interesting brew to sip and enjoy.
