Very nice coppery complexion is mired by an over carbonation that adheres to the side of the snifter. The head was off white with a fluffy texture and it laced well.
More malt on the nose than hop this IPA has a backdrop of tea leaves. Additional delving reveals an earthy, resinous pine that starts to take over the grains and malt.
A very hearty grainy malt meets the palate and then a mildly resinous pine ends. The hop flavor is pure with an outdoorsy, earthy taste but it's relatively bitter and satisfying.
Perhaps it's the extra carbonation but the feel is very loose and easy; quite refreshing. The aftertaste is slightly piney and bitter but not detracting.
