12 oz bottle poured into a standard pint glass.
Appearance - pours a rich shade of amber and is clearly see through. There is very little head with light to moderate carbonation.
Smell - Very pleasant! The hops are there to greet you at the first whiff!
Taste - The textbook American IPA. With the first sip the hops are there to shake your hand and remind you of why you fell in love with craft beer in the first place. If there is some malt in this brew that contributes to sweetness than I could not taste it.
Mouthfeel - Middle of the road, not watery or particularly thick. Basically what you would expect from an IPA.
Drinkability - With an abv of 5.8 this is a surprisingly lightweight for an IPA; meaning it is quite possible to have more than one and still be able to savor the flavor. Unfortunately it is bitter enough that you might not be able to taste any beer after this one. The choice is yours.
