Poured out of a 12oz bottle with a clear freshness date. Pours out with an amber color and a white head that laces the glass.
Smells like lemon dish detergent. Not appealing but I know its the 10 pounds of Cascade hops they pounded into this beer.
Hop bitterness up front. Very beautiful lemony, citrusy, spicy hops with some earthy tones as well. Malts are simple and sweet overshadowed by the massive blast of hops. This has English, German, and especially American hop varieties in it. It is spanning the whole 48th Latitude.
Mouthfeel is prickly and drying. Enjoyable in this style. Body is light to medium.
Drinkability is pretty good. I love IPAs so I am a little biased here.
Low notes on this beer is the smell. It smells like Lemon Palmolive dish detergent. However, the IBU kick in this beer is delightful for all those Hopheads out there!
