Bought a variety case of Sammy. Poured this one into a snifter.
A: pours a nice clear amber with good head that gently fades in about a minute or two. Lingers around just enough.
S: reminds me of Hop Devil with mostly spicy hops but also some citrus and floral. Peppery aroma masks the sweet malts - likely crystal & caramel.
M: nice even bodied medium mouthfeel. Good carbonation. Finishes slightly sweet.
D: nice drinkable beer that could go for a session or with a meal. I dig.
T: not quite enough hop bite that I look for in an IPA but good nonetheless. More even in terms of hop & malt balance. I wish both areas were tuned up just slightly more.
Wow! Very impressive IPA from Sam.
