Poured a deep crystal amber with a pillowy off white head that lingered considerably longer than I had expected, and leaves extensive lacing as I drink
The nose is relatively thin, mostly a piny hoppiness, with a touch of citrus around the edges.
This is not an overly hoppy beer. Personally, I like that. Its flavour is definitely lead and defined by it's hops which continue that piny-citrus flavour from the nose, but I wouldn't describe it as an especially hoppy beer. There is some bready malt about 3/4 of the way through, but even that is a little subdued.
Good carbonation level and quite drinkable. I was pleasantly surprised by this brew (which made up for the disappointment that I felt with the Coastal Wheat which was also from the same sampler pack), and would drink it again. Not a game changer by any means, but one of the better BB beers I've had recently.
