A - Chestnut brown with a finger of creamy beige lace on top. Tons of sticky lace clings to the rim of the glass.
S - Piney hops and dark chocolate. What a novel idea! This is a pale ale / IPA with a deeply roasted malt nose. Roasty, toasty, and deep, yet also vibrantly hoppy and green.
T - Cold coffee, toasted oats, and loads of hop character.
M - Medium bodied, and solidly made. The carbonation is slightly creamy, and a nice long finish leaves hop flavors lingering between your teeth.
D - I like it! Sam Adams keeps improving upon a very solid base by expanding into new territories with their bigger beers, but is also doing a great job with the "everyday" type stuff like this.
