The body of the beer was burnt sienna in color, and the two finger thick head was nicely proportioned and durable. The hops smelled very herbal and earthy, and there was floral tinge to the smell as well. The taste was a well balanced affair, with malt sweetness coming across like hard toffee, and hop bitterness holding firm from start to finish of each sip. The mouthfeel was creamy and dry, with a puckering bitter finish and a drawn out aftertaste. A very well crafted AIPA from Sam Adams here, and the widespread availability makes it a beer I am probably going to fall back on quite often in the future.
