Poured from bottle to a tulip. Best by AUG 2011 notched on label.
A: Clear copper with active carbonation and a thick, foamy tan head.
S: Piny hops, roasted malt, orange peel, and coriander.
T: Sweet caramel and bready malt with a black pepper and hops at the finish. Sweet and malt carries the day more so than the hops, though there is a full hops finish.
M: Creamy, almost a little too oily. Medium-bodied with a nice hops bitterness that doesn't dry too much but is right there with you at the end.
O: A good AIPA, but not great. Would receive a better overall score from me if the sweet and malty flavor was more in balance with the hops.
