Poured from 12 oz. bottle into Samuel Adams pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a clear copper hue with a pillowy three-finger light brown/white head. A generous amount of lacing is left on the glass.

Smell: Hoppy and bready, sweet smelling

Taste: A fairly hoppy and malty beer, with the malts being more upfront than your average American IPA. The bottle says it is best by March, and it is not March yet, but still the tastes are faded and there is a pretty strong metallic taste at the end. Mild bitterness throughout.

Mouthfeel: Light body and high carbonation, it's pretty good.

Overall: This beer tastes old, yet according to the bottle, it is not, so I'm grading this based off it it still being good. Just a bad metallic aftertaste behind mild hoppy and malt character.

Pours a dark copper/ amber with a dense head. Excellent lacing and retention.

smells of herbal and peppery hops, slight malt.

Tastes of herbal and earthy hops, slightly musky with a light touch of mint. Nice hop profile. A little caramel towards the end, a bit toasty.

Medium body, well carbonated, just right.

Overall: Not my favorite IPA, but certainly a fine beer. Great flavor and at 6% ABV it's a good session beer.
