Served at cellar temperature from 500ml brown bottle bought at Morrisons supermarket for £1. States 'American Craft Beer' on the bottle, but is in fact brewed by Shepherd Neame in the UK. Bah.
L) Pale yellow colour, very clear, lots of big bubbles rising. Started with a white foamy head, but this quickly dissipates to a thin film.
S) Not a lot, but English type hops are in there. Smells like a Shepherd Neame Kent ale.
T) Again, follows the format of a typical Kent summer / blonde ale, light English hop flavours, not a lot of bitterness. Erm, so 'light' then.
F) Light and refreshing, very fizzy. No bitter aftertaste. I can imagine this one going down very nicely on a summer's evening.
O) It cost £1, so not going to complain too much. Very light in every department, if it is still £1 in the summer I will definitely buy another one, but I can't say that it is any better than any other supermarket blond ale.

Pint at "spoons" said 5.5abv looks a bit like apple juice. Smells a bit like a kentish/sussex ale. Can taste hints of citrus fruits and mango. Not too much carbonation. Couple of pints went down well. Solid brew for JDW beerfest, nothing spectacular.

Brewed exclusively for JD Wetherspoon. This was my first beer at this years autumn beer festival.
A. A clean, straw coloured beer with a good white head.
S. Sadly I could not detect much except for a hint of lemons.
T. Piney, quite chewy, biscuity malt, some citrusy notes. A rather watery finish spoiled the taste - knocking half a point off for that.
M. Medium bodied, smooth.
D. A reasonable beer but nothing to shout out from the rooftops about. I don't think I could have more than 2 or 3 in any single session. I was expecting something far more superior to this from 'Sam Adams' having had some really good offerings from them previously (all bottled)but was left deflated after sampling this.
