A: Straw yellow color with perfect clarity. Bubbles stream towards the top continuously, feeding a rather sudsy head (very large bubbles). The head falls quickly, leaving some splotches of lace on the glass. A few patches of suds remains atop the beer.
S: Light cracker-like malt aroma with a very pleasant floral, spicy, and lemony hop fragrances. Some light fruity esters escape when I pour more beer into the glass.
T&M: Brilliant flavor! Incredible balance and nuance with a pleasant finish. Light cracker malt and a hint of wheat give way to a touch of lemony bitterness midway and a decent wave of floral flavor. Grainy sweetness returns on the finish. Light body with a light carbonation level. Perhaps a bit more carbonation could add to the zip, but that's a minor complaint.
D: Session beer from heaven. Brilliant balance and nuanced flavor with a moderate alcohol level and light body. Between this and the Noble Pils, Sam Adams is cornering the market and fantastic light session beers.
