Poured from the bottle into a Goose Island pint glass.
The color is a clear golden/yellow with a slight finger of foamy white head that is gone pretty fast and leaves no lacing on the glass.
The smell is pretty malty with some grainy aroma coming out in the nose that is a bit like a pilsner. There is a slight sugary gummy bear aroma that is surprising and a little weird.
The taste is pretty crisp with a bready flavor that reminds me of plain pancakes with no syrup. There is a slight bland flavor at first but this goes into a crisp smack of pilner malt and then a fruity hop flavor that is a bit apple skin, orange peel like flavor. There is a fruity flavor without being too fruity like just a surface fruit flavor.
The feel of this beer is light and pretty darn drinkable. This goes down easy but not too easy that the flavor skids right by. There is a delayed craft feel to this beer that is nice but also very easy so that this could be enjoyed many times in a row without problems. A good session beer for the summer.
