Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a Duvel tulip. Best before September 2011 notched on label.
Pours a clear medium gold color with a 2 finger foamy snow white head. Decent head retention and lacing.
Smell: Grassy and floral aroma. Not a huge aroma by any means, but it smells nice.
Taste: Floral notes up front highlighted by the jasmine followed by clean grassy notes in the middle before ending with just a touch of hoppy bitterness at the finish. Aftertaste is light and fairly dry. The jasmine up front overpowers the flavor a bit too much for me.
Mouthfeel: Light-to-medium-bodied with a decent amount of carbonation. Goes down smooth.
Drinkability: Pretty good drinkability. You could knock back several of these without any problem.
Overall: Pretty good beer overall. I'm not too familiar with the Kolsch style (this is only my second), but I can tell you that it's not as good as the Reissdorf I had on Monday. I'd say it's still worth trying.
