Poured into a New Belgium globe glass from a 12 oz. bottle. Shows a clear deep straw with a half inch of white cap. Retention is moderate, settling to a light film which holds nicely and leaves bits of lace.
Sweet lemon is prominent on the nose, along with bready malts and a touch of yeast. Spice notes are light and peppery, losing the battle to the sweet notes. Sour/funk is absent.
Spritzy delivery of lemony grain, bit coarse in the middle, and with a sweet close with a hint of pepper spice. Light to moderate feel given the light ABV. Body thins as the carbonation lessons and the sweetness becomes more apparent.
Overall this Saison offers a subdued yeast character and is sweeter than the ABV might ask for. Still notably better in the bottle than when sampled on tap.

A bright yellow, glowing, good clarity, almost a full inch of white head. A little belgian aroma, not over the top.
Hits those yeast notes, stays away from clove and spice rack. Good lemon tart vibe. Crisp, well carbonated. Reliable and sessionable with plenty of flavor, exceeded expectations.
