Poured into a standard pint glass. Straw yellow with some head that dissipates pretty quickly, but never completely disappears. Some lacing.
Smells like soap. I don't mean that is smells soapy, but rather that it smells like a floral soap--flowers mixed with Irish Spring. It's...interesting? Can also smell the maltiness and some yeast.
Tastes too floral--like those gross breath mints that came in a purple package when I was a kid. That is followed by a kick in the mouth of brief but powerful citrus (not sour--just citrus--it has more to do with a faint smell that suddenly comes into focus).
Mouthfeel is good, but weak for a Sam product. Foams up nicely, but it's a bit thin.
The end score belies how little I like this beer. It's just too mch. The floral aspects kill it for me. It also burns a bit in the long-after aftertaste.
