12oz. bottle into shaker pint on 8/12/11.
A - Crystal clear golden straw-colored liquid with virtually no carbonation save for a few stray bubbles here and there, and a slim white head that dissipated to a thin ring of retention and no lacing.
S - Aroma is intensely sweet, floral and perfumy with no noticeable classic Saison attributes. Funk? Nope. Spiced apple? Maybe.
T - Like the aroma, the flavor is quite sweet and lacks the characteristics that I've come to enjoy in a Saison. Overall, this is an extremely sweet, perfumy and floral Saison with little spiciness, funk or hop bitterness.
M - Medium bodied with a syrupy texture and modest carbonation. Finish is quite sweet with minimal bitterness on the palate.
D - Not a Saison that I would revisit. Overall, I found it to be too sweet and lacking the classic Saison attributes. Chalk it up as a disappointment.
