12oz bottle poured into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint.

A- Same as the others. Shiny clear copper color with finger worth of white head. Dissipates into a thin ring around the glass and lttle protein pools. Random bits of lacing.

S- Strong lemon citrus notes with some pine. The lemon overpowers the bready malt. The nose reminds me of camping.

T- Lots of citrus lemon with grass tones mix hit the very front of the palate. Some sweet caramel in the middle gives way to a vary minimal hop bitterness that is also pretty lemony in tone.

M- Medium body with good carbonation that really doesn't add or detract from the taste. Lasting lemony linger. No off flavors.

O- Has the flavor of a shandy--really lemon based that kind of hides most of the traditional beer flavors. A good beer, just not exactly an IPA. I would pick up a few more of these for a bbq.

Poured from a bottle into a nonic pint.

A - Pours a crystal clear copper with a one-finger off white head with little retention. Hardly any lacing to speak of.

S - Healthy aroma of mixed fruits, spruce, and a slight vegetal odor.

T - Earthy and fruity, with hints of onion and garlic mixing with grapefruit and candied orange. Slightest hint of lime. A little pine in the finish, but this is more sweet than bitter. This hop and the caramel malt base beer work very well together.

M - Medium bodied, with standard Sam Adams prickly carbonation. A hint of creaminess in the mid-palate and it works. Finishes dry.

O - Pretty solid overall. Probably the most balanced IPA of the Latitude 48 Deconstructed series.

I thought this was a slightly above average IPA, definitely nothing special. Tried it as part of the Latitude 48 "Deconstructed" pack like I assume everyone else did. Kind of a cool idea from Boston Beer. Anyway, this was probably the one I liked the least out of the bunch. It was kind of weak and herbal, just not really what I'm looking for in an IPA.

Not a real assertive hop presence to this on the aroma or the taste but enough to get a feel for this hop in this beer...kind of an oily, herbal impression....I like the flavor....definitely Hallertau which I love in Pilsners. It certainly works fine here as well as a single hop in this IPA but the overall drinkability is more like an APA than an IPA.

Overall this hop seems better in a beer with a cleaner malt profile like a pilsner but I think this is decent enough as a pale ale. Scores though reflect it as an IPA.

Poured into pint glass. whiskey colored beer. Pretty mild for an IPA. Not much bitternes or citrisy but a very drinkable beer. one could drink this beer over and over again on a hot day and quench your thirsty. A bit of a thick head but thats okay by me
