Like last year with their pumpkin beer, I pretty much bought the fall variety pack for this one beer.
Pours a medium amber with a nice foamy head in my tulip glass. The head quickly reduces to a quarter-inch layer.
A smoky aroma, but one that's under control. Smells like a fire.
The taste, like the aroma, is smoky, with hints of spice that I'm guessing come from the smoked malts instead of actual spices.
A nice creamy body, no watery beer here.
Overall this is an above-average Rauchbier. It's smokier than others I've tried while not being overwhelming.
