2013 Bottle, poured into a pint glass
A- Pours a clear dark copper color with a small creamy off-white head that retains nicely, leaving some short lasting lace behind
S- Lots of pumpkin spice aroma up front, consisting of nutmeg, cinnamon, clove and allspice. Also picking up a vanilla cream aroma that mixes nicely with the raw pumpkin, giving it a pumpkin pie-like aroma
T- Big and malty with lots of caramel malt, mixing in with some sweet bread and fig. Pumpkin flavors kick in mid-palate, with an emphasis on the nutmeg and a cinnamon linger. Lots of malt continues through to the finish with more bread notes on the linger with a bit of alcohol
M- Heavy body with moderate carbonation leads to a creamy mouthfeel, ending with a smooth and foamy finish, just a bit of alcohol warmth at the end
O- One of the more malty pumpkin beers that I've tried and I think it works well. The pumpkin flavors and the sweetness of the caramel malt work nicely together, well done
