Appearance: Pours a very dark brown color with about 1" of tan head. Deep mahogany highlights can be seen throughout. Head retention is decent, as is the lacing.
Smell: A few roasted malts are detected, and a bit of char. By and large though, the smell is dominated by a nice coffee scent that isn't too much.
Taste: Some roast and char is apparent, but again the taste is mostly dominated by coffee. Finish has a few hops and coffee bitterness. Pretty solid overall, and enjoyable.
Mouthfeel/Overall: Light-medium bodied with moderate, fine carbonation. Pretty smooth drinking, but would be nice if it had a bit more body. Overall, a nice easy drinking coffee stout. It's no FBS or Central Waters Coffee Stout in terms of quality, but nice. Would love to be able to pick this up year round. Perfect for cold winter nights.

Sampled December 2013 from a bottle into a pint glass.
Appearance: Very dark color with a nice tan head. The head lasted a long time, and left a thin coating on the inside of the glass.
Smell: There are roasted coffee aromas, along with some strong malt aromas. The combination made for an interesting aroma. Not much of a hop smell.
Taste: Full-bodied with an interesting mix of malt, and coffee. There is a little chocolate flavor as well. As with the aroma, there is not much of a hop flavor to balance the malt.
Mouth feel: Full-bodied, but very smooth. Very creamy.
Overall: Good stout. I enjoyed the bottle that I drank, but the coffee flavor can dominate.
