22oz dark brown sculpted bottle. some indecipherable code stamped on bottle neck.
Served in a SA Perfect Pint glass.
In pours a very deep orange-hued root beer color with a solid 2" beige head and lots of rimmed lacing.
A strong smell of grapefruit and orange zest roll out at first pour. A doughy malt aroma carries smells of resinous hop, spruce and a hint of gin.
The flavors are big and bold! Tastes of grapefruit, lemon peel, toffee, doughy bread, pine and white rum are all quite distinct. Minor tastes of herbs and spice mingle in and out.
The mouthfeel is a bit edgy at first, then becomes slick and very gulpable as it warms.
Really interesting brew!
