Bottle poured into an Imperial pint glass
A - Giant dense rocky deep tan head leaves great lacing. Perfectly bright mahogany amber color.
S - Big bright floral citrus hop nose. A little bit of caramel malt comes across with a nice portion of toasted malts. Hops showcase in the nose. I like where this beer is going.
T - The toasted malt flavors blend very well with the piney/citrus hop flavors that highlight. There is much depth to these malts. It doesn't just scratch the surface of light vienna malts but has intense toastiness nearing some darker roasted characteristics. Finishes with a moderate amount of bitterness for cleansing.
M - Has nice moderate carbonation and a great medium to medium-full body. Dry on the palate.
O - It is so obvious to be a red ale of sorts, yet so obvious to be an IPA of sorts. I didn't know what this beer would end up like but calling it a Red IPA hits the nail on the head. Great toasted malt notes accompany excellent fresh hop smell and flavor.
