Deep garnet with fluffy sand-colored head that sheets.
Raspberry, resin, and black cherry pipe tobacco on the nose.
Plum compote, raisins, brown bread, red currants, a butterscotch hit with spicy black pepper and blood orange hops.
Rugalach finish and orange rind linger.
Medium, well chewy, round.
Darker than red, with some almost BSDA notes. Hops don't play enough of a role for something labeled as an IPA. This is an amber and a muddy one at that, though still well architected.
This is the 2nd of SA's new range I've tried in the last week, and I'm not impressed.
