The beer pours a hazy deep amber/brick red color with a thick frothy off-white head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is decent. It has a rich, malty scent that boasts of pale, crystal, and biscuit malts along with a serious piney hop aroma. It has a solid bitter scent that seems muddled in all the malt complexity. The taste is decent as well. It has a big beer feel with loads of malt complexity and a equally big piney hop character. Again, it seems muddled and overly complex. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a full bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is a solid beer, but nothing I'll buy again in the future.
