22 oz. bottle poured into a mug.
Appearance: Pours a dark reddish-brown color with a big foamy off-white/light tan head. Excellent retention and good lacing.
Smell: Caramel and some grains; nothing too sweet.
Taste: Solid malty flavor with caramel and grain - not very bready, however. Mild hoppy spice & bitterness comes out in the finish and aftertaste. There's a roasted flavor that comes out after a while too, particularly in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied and fairly smooth, with mild carbonation.
Drinkability: Moderate ABV, pretty easy to drink.
A nice, hoppier red ale. Nothing outstanding, but quite nice and flavorful.
Serving type: bottle
