This one is interesting. It's a very unique blend of darker lager elements overlaid by a citrus character and floral hop aroma.
Occasionally a beer will have it's flavor varieties progress from one to the next in a smooth series of steps. Even more often a brew will have a series of complementary flavors stacked right on top if one another.
Alpine Spring bucks both of these styles however and offers completely contrasting flavors that hit you all at once like an overturning bookshelf, and you don't know what to reach for first.
I think it's great actually. It reminds me of a great cirque du soleil show where there is just so much great stuff happening and you have to decide what to concentrate on. It's a good problem to have.
