This is a really great Spring time beer from Sam Adams. Pours a cloudy and murky golden orange color with a generous two fingers of thick head... from the bottle!
Smell is the only thing that I didn't really like with the Alpine Spring... it's just timid and rather uneventful.
Taste is very good. The unfiltered brew has that Heffe feel, but its more citrusy and malty. Orange peel and some sugary, flowery tones on the finish.
Easy drinking, nice mouthfeel. Perfect transition from the heavier winter ales to spring. A beer even the Macro folks will enjoy.
