Poured from a bottle into a dimpled mug.
A – Pours a cloudy honey color with a nice one-finger head of thick white bubbles. Clumpy/patchy lacing.
S – Lemon pepper, apricot, and mild grassy hops. Smells nice.
T – Starts off fairly nice with apricot, lemon, coriander, and a little bit of white pepper. Nice spice blend. Middle taste is floral and grassy, much of what you would expect, and then….something happens. The finish of this beer is harshly, astringently bitter. I don’t mean beer bitter, (I LIKE bitter beers) I mean acrid…this tastes more like tonic water. Not good. Poorly balanced.
M – It is here where things go even more downhill. Body lacks a lot of fullness, and instead of “thin”, a better description would be “hollow bodied”. Medium carbonation.
O – I think SA had a decent idea here with the spice blend, but the aftertaste just killed this one for me. As I was drinking it, I couldn’t wait to be done with it. Not far from a drain pour. I don’t know what is up with the newer SA products that are appearing in their variety packs recently, but I feel most of them are really poorly executed. (Not including the “single batch” collection, most of which are good to excellent)

appearance is golden, a bit cloudy. Looks as if there are slight debris floating in dense beer. The smell reminds me of some bad orange juice. Not too appeasing. At least the taste is strong as an IPA should be. Hints of citrus then immediately goes downhill. Old musty OJ is all I think.
I would not recommend to a friend bottom line.
