Foamy shock white head sits on top of a hazy yellow-orange beer remeniscent of a hefeweizen. Lots of visible carbonation from the bottom to the top and the head retains for a while in its sea-foamy form. Lots of lacing. The smell is very pleasant and inviting with a big amount of grapefruit hoppiness that hits first with a huge amount of orange zest as well. I wouldn't have pegged it as apricot until I read the label, but the apricot is definitely noticeable in the smell going along nicely with the orange rind aroma and balancing grapefruity hops. Very nice aroma.
Big juicy burst of citrus up front that is followed by a not so juicy grapefruit bitterness that dries out the finish to a puckering crispness. All the fruity citrus tastes go well together, orange and a touch of lemon up front and straight grapefruit in the back that leads to a long and bitter finish. Just a touch of that apricot in a balancing juiciness, but it is absolutely subtle. A little light on the malt front as the hops dominate the flavor profile in a distinct fashion. It probably wouldn't have hurt too much to have a bit more body from these malts. That said, the hops are utilized very nicely and it is definitely enjoyable.
This is kind of like a hoppier Alpine Spring, which I like already. More hops works well here and I definitely liked it. This would have done well as full-time spring seasonal as well.

appearance is golden, a bit cloudy. Looks as if there are slight debris floating in dense beer. The smell reminds me of some bad orange juice. Not too appeasing. At least the taste is strong as an IPA should be. Hints of citrus then immediately goes downhill. Old musty OJ is all I think.
I would not recommend to a friend bottom line.
