Appearance is a very hazy yellow orange supporting a thin foam head that dissipates leaving scant lace. Smell is fair with the malt and hops having a citric piney background. Taste the spike of hops on top of the malt having a piney, grapefruit citric flavor leaving a dry bitter and maybe a note of apricot. The elements are there in the flavor, they just seem a little off. Mouthfeel is medium, slick with good carbonation. Not a bad brew, just something a little different to try.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high frothy white head that gradually died down, leaving a thin head consistently covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: There are moderately strong aromas of citrus hops in the nose—grapefruit and oranges seem to stand out in particular.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste has lots of grapefruit flavors and a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and relatively crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is packed with lots of citrusy hops but is also very easy to drink for the style.

Pours a cloudy peach color, with a rocky off-white head. Smell is of freshly cut citrus fruits. Taste is a big apricot burst up front, followed by some piney, lemony hops. The finish is herbal, with a nice tight bitterness. Mouthfeel is average, average carbonation levels as well. Overall a good IPA, the Apricot isn't too overwhelming.

A- Pours a hazy yellow color with a two-finger, fluffy head. Head has killer staying power and leaves great lacing.

S- Wheat, fruity aromas (apricot, lemon), and lots of pine.

T- Starts off with flavors of granny smith apples, apricot, and lemons. Some wheat flavors come through in the middle. Finishes with a nice citrus pith/pine resin bitterness.

M- Light crisp feel with medium/high carbonation.

O- Another well made brew from BBC. There's nothing wrong with it and I'm glad I tried it, but I found myself wishing for more of the wheat characteristics to shine through in the aroma and flavor categories. Personally, I don't think I'll be revising this beer again. Cheers.

A really nice effort at a White IPA. Pours a hazed golden color with a medium sized white head. Smell begins with hops, wheat, and some sweet fruit. Flavor is apricot, orange peel with some bitterness, pine and citrus. A wheat beer mixed with a white all added with some nice hop bitterness makes this a pretty solid brew.

A - The beer pours with one finger of white foam on top of a hazy, golden body. The head settles quickly and leaves light lace on the glass.

S - Spicy hop notes of pine and citrus with a touch of toffee.

T - Sweet, bready malt up front with a touch of lemon. More citrusy hops in the middle with notes of lemon and orange. Finishes with spicy notes of malt and lemony hops with a little bit of dry toast.

M - Medium body, moderate carbonation, and a fairly dry finish.

D - Not bad, but pretty bland by today's IPA standards. The hop character isn't weak, but it is kind of mild with mostly lemon character that isn't unpleasant but is a bit unimpressive for a brewery that we know can do much better.

S: very floral and grassy with a subtle citrus note.

T: pale malts with a floral, herbal and mild pine flavor with dominating lemon citrus notes.

M: medium body and moderate carbonation.

Overall: not too bad. the lemon notes provide but lemon custard sweetness and sour notes. A good one to try.

Almost grabbed a sixer, but saw singles so I opted for a variety. Lets see if I made a good choice...

Well, right of the bat I'm not digging the color. Color is more of a medium to muddy orange color. The lack of clarity is refreshing, but it's just to dark. While the head was nice, spongy and pillowy, a bit too cream colored. It is a good looking IPA, which is the style it's listed as, but I know they were shooting for a "White IPA", so it really should have looked more like a Witbier...like the BLVD Collab 2, for example. There's your bar right there, BBC.

The aroma had a nice little spice note to it, with some breadiness, citrus and some grassy, almost floral hop notes. The nose wasn't in-you-face, but it was overall nice. There were minor hints of pine and caramel.

More of that Wit comes through in the taste, thankfully. It's got a nice wheaty malt presence, with some spices, citrus, lemon peel and an early, grassy hop character.

The feel was a bit medium bodied, with a creaminess. Felt a little heavy. Could have had a tad more carbonation.

In the end, it's really a middle-of-the-road kinda beer; not bad, but I don't think I'd seek it out again.

August is notched on the label.

Huge and persistent head of foam, the norm for Sam Adams brews, it's a hazy orange colour.

It smells very bitter. Pine and citrus there but if I whiff real hard, there's a bit of a malty sweetness there as well. Low on any spicing that I got in the Chainbreaker.

The taste is of pine, some citrus, hint or 2 of malt, no spice, pretty one dimensional but it tastes pretty good. At least for 1 bottle at 1 sitting. I don't have a desire to go back to back.

The mouthfeel is excellent but again, 1 and done. A good effort by SA but not quite where I had hoped it would go.
