Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass- pours a hazy golden straw color with a nice two finger white head. Good retention an lacing.
Nice citrus hop scent- probably cascade, maybe centennial. I get a TINY hint of wheat in the nose but barely.
Full flavored brew. Lots of citrusy hops and their bitterness up front, mellowed out by a small amount of malt sweetness (barley to my palate) and maybe a little apricot, followed by a resurgence of grapefruit hops to finish it out. As you drink it more, the wheat becomes SLIGHTLY noticeable.
Mouthfeel is pretty good- light body with moderate to full carbonation and a little bit of hop resin. I've avoided this one because of the "wheat" on the label but ended up enjoying it as part of the IPA Hop-Ology 12 pack.

A hazy gold brew with a good sized off white head. Strong retention and nice lacing; a very attractive IPA overall.
The apricots and spices are both easily detected in the taste and aroma; in particular the apricot emerges nicely in the swallow and finish. Fairly subtle overall; light fruity sweetness; some clove; grapefruit, restrained hop bitterness. Some wheat and biscuity malt notes as well. Finishes semi-dry and a bit tart.
Medium body and carbonation; a bit sticky. Not exactly crisp and clean but still a pretty refreshing warm weather drinking experience.

12oz bottle served in a snifter
A: Cloudy orange-gold with about a finger of white head. The head is mostly short-lived, but leaves a partial top coat and ring, as well as a good bit of sticky lacing. A thin coat of sediment remained on the bottom of the bottle despite emptying the bottle.
S: A solid hop presence with a mix of earthy/herbal and citrusy hops, yet suggests something sweet. A clear orange note with wheat and hints of coriander.
T: Orange juice, piney hops, with light earthy, herbal and spice notes. Hints of salt and lemon too. A nice lingering orange/grapefruit aftertaste with moderate bitterness.
M - Good carbonation level; medium body; slightly dry and sour finish.
O: a pronounced orange bent in this hoppy but drinkable IPA.

12oz bottle served into a Sam Adams perfect pint.
A - Chunky sediment floats in a frosty dull amber that actually looks really cool. A fat finger of yellow tinted white head leaves rings of lacing
S - Skunky herbal hops, wheat cracker malt, crisp lemon, fresh pine. Some sweet dough underneath.
T - White pepper, coriander, and spicy herbal hops upfront. Salty lemon flavor that reminds me of seafood for some reason. Stone fruit, semi-sweet wheat malt. A dryness sweeps through with a lemon citrus pith bitterness while finishing dry.
M - Moderate foamy carbonation fills the mouth, light medium body, clean finish.
Hops lean more toward bright citrus and lightly astringent. It has a clean feel about it but seems to be lemon driven. This seems to have a change of pace with the omnipresent IPA.
This would pair very well with seafood, especially oysters.

The appearance is cloudy orange with a small foamy white head. It looks like a hefeweizen.
The smell is apricots, citrus hops and a bit of pine.
The taste is hoppy and bitter with some apricots thrown in.
The mouth feel light with light to medium carbonarion.
An interesting beer. Was glad to try it but I don't think I'll get it again, maybe if I see it on tap.

12oz bottle, procured at the local grocery concern in Keauhou, Hawai'i.
This beer pours a hazy pale golden straw colour, with three fingers of foamy, rocky off-white head, which leaves a wall of macabre webbed lace around the glass as it subsides at an even pace.
It smells of citrus rind, pine resin, and mild herbal hop esters, some mild sour apricot fruitiness, and a soft grainy, wheaty breadiness. The taste is a bigger showcase for the apricot adjunct, as the fruitiness leads here, with the citrus and pine usual suspects shunted to the background, though the herbal ones don't have that same problem. The malt gains some caramel notes above the steady grainy wheatiness.
The carbonation is pretty average, the body a decent medium weight, and more or less smooth. It finishes hoppy, but in the pithy fruity way, not so much in the bitter, though some leafy essence of that sort lingers and loiters.
A so-so IPA, the ascension of the fruit at the expense of the zingy bitterness the primary culprit, IMHO. Ok for couple, I suppose, but I'd want something more bold thereafter, should I still be craving a Yankee IPA.

It looks like a wheat--plenty of lace from the long lasting head. The brew is appropriately cloudy with a dark gold color.
Light wheat with a dollop of peppery hop bitterness.
Leans toward the hop bitterness. There's enough wheat for interest, but I would not qualify this that way. I also do not detect any apricot or spices. All that said, I find this to be a very easy beer to drink.

12-oz bottle into mug
A - massive foamy white head atop a cloudy golden yellow body with floating white residue
S - floral hops, apricots, spice
T - pine, coriander, faint malty backbone, wheat, hint of fruit, spicy dry finish
M - medium/full body, high carbonation
O - Whitewater has an odd flavor. I guess the wheat ale/IPA combination is just not working for me.

Poured from 12oz bottle into Tulip.
A. Poured a big 3 finger head. Good retention. Pretty thick lacing. Color is hazy orangeish yellow.
S. Smells like a wit beer up front, but the hops come out as well. Yeast, lemony citrus, hop bitterness, some hoppy citrus as well. Get some apricots and spices coming through as well.
T. Taste is sweet IPA with some apricot hints. A little bit of spice comes out towards the end. Really kind of a disappointment based on how this beer smelled. Pretty smooth and drinkable, just not a whole lot of flavor. One of the better SA IPA's I have had though.
M. Medium bodied. Medium/full carbonation. A little lingering fruity sweetness.
O. Good beer. I like the fruity tones in the flavor. Not much wit flavor going on as would be suggested by the aroma I got. Not a bad offering from SA. Tried this in the Hopology 12 pack. I would buy a 6 pack of this again in the future.

Wow, one of the most refreshing beers I have ever tried.
Pours out a nice hazy yellow/orange with a thick white head.
The aroma is full of citrus fruits, apricot and coriander.
The taste is very similar and finds a perfect balance of sweet with the slight spice of the coriander and malt backbone.
Very easy to drink and has a decent amount of flavor for the low abv. Very pleased with this one from Sam Adams.

Poired from a12 oz bottle into samuel smith tulip. I thought this beer had great balance between the bitterness and apricot and not an overwhelming wheat flavor. Pretty solid brew. Probably one of the better white ipas I've had. Very well done Sam Adams.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into an imperial pint.
Best Before: Sept 2012
A: Pours a bright & glowing hazy peach with 2 full fingers of off-white foam on top that left a bunch of messy lace behind.
S: Citrus zest, spices, mango, and Hefe yeast aromas.
T: As above with some grassy hops, more mango, some apricot, tangerine, and just a kiss of carmel malt.
M: Relatively smooth and full with hints of hop oils and a suprisingly dry/peppery finish.
O: Another winner from the Sam Adams IPA box set.
