Poured from bottle into pint glass

Appearance – Pours a golden color with a large billowing white head. The head has huge carbonation bubbles entrapped within. It fades slowly over time to give quite a nice level of lacing.

Smell – The smell is heavy of yeast and nice floral notes. Mixed with these are aroma’s of lemon citrus, grassy aromas as well as some nice spiciness.

Taste – The taste starts out more biscuity with almost an entire malt flavor. A small amount lemon citrus comes into the flavor rather early. It is on the more bittering side. Soon after the lemon, a more bready peppery flavor come into the taste drying it out a bit more. These take the flavor to the end where some edible flower/perfumey tastes make their presence known. Overall a very flowery/peppery taste is left on the tongue. Rather interesting, although I am not sure it is really for me.

Mouthfeel – The beer has a very light body with the carbonation level being rather high. Good for a lighter beer of its style and appropriate for a session beer.

Overall –A rather interesting beer. It has a beautiful look and smell, although the taste is a little too peppery for me. While it is peppery it is still very drinkable and very fitting for a session brew.

LOOK: Bright golden/amber, touch of haze, thin white lace.

SMELL: Fresh toasty bread, light bubble gum, floral hops, faint tropical fruits.

TASTE: Crisp carbonation, creamy, light on the palate, dry upfront, bitter, lemony, apple-y, toasty malts, biscuity, dry, yeasty, tea-like linger.

Not too shabby. Reminds me of some of the first basic Belgian Pale Ales I had in my early beer geek days. No frills, but it's got some flavorful and quite drinkable. Wish it was a tad bit cleaner on the finish though.

Shared at bu11zeye's 10,000th rating tasting.

The beer pours a yellowish color with a white head. The aroma is fairly fruity with a lot of orange and lemon notes, with a little bit of malt and some yeast thrown in. The flavor is similar, with a nice wheat malt backbone, with some grain and some orange also present. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Fairly straightforward. Nothing offensive, but nothing really stands out.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: Amber with a thin white head. No lacing on the glass.

Smell: Cloves, wheat and hops.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth medium bodied. Taste of cloves with light hops.

Overall: Ok brew. Not my first choice.
