I've had this brew twice from the summer pack, this time I thought I'd sip on both bottles in a large belgian glass I don't use that often. Session, it's on.

Poured golden copper, nice color. Head toward the white side, a let down. Faded fast, no lace.

Aroma of fruits and yeasty bread.

Taste follows up with a funky Belgian yeast hit but the fruity following of citric, pear and apple is quite nice.

Mouth is soft due to a well carbonated brew though not fizzy. A fruit aftertaiste lingers while a yeasty dryness hangs on.

Overall a good brew to sip on, it mellows as it warms while still tasty.

LOOK: Bright golden/amber, touch of haze, thin white lace.

SMELL: Fresh toasty bread, light bubble gum, floral hops, faint tropical fruits.

TASTE: Crisp carbonation, creamy, light on the palate, dry upfront, bitter, lemony, apple-y, toasty malts, biscuity, dry, yeasty, tea-like linger.

Not too shabby. Reminds me of some of the first basic Belgian Pale Ales I had in my early beer geek days. No frills, but it's got some flavorful and quite drinkable. Wish it was a tad bit cleaner on the finish though.

Shared at bu11zeye's 10,000th rating tasting.

The beer pours a yellowish color with a white head. The aroma is fairly fruity with a lot of orange and lemon notes, with a little bit of malt and some yeast thrown in. The flavor is similar, with a nice wheat malt backbone, with some grain and some orange also present. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Fairly straightforward. Nothing offensive, but nothing really stands out.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: Amber with a thin white head. No lacing on the glass.

Smell: Cloves, wheat and hops.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth medium bodied. Taste of cloves with light hops.

Overall: Ok brew. Not my first choice.
