The beer poured out golden amber in color, with a clear and very effervescent body, and a three finger thick head. The smell was difficult to discern at first, due to the large head. Once it died away, I could detect grapefruit, pine, banana, and melon balls. The taste was similar to what I smelled, but with some added spicy influences like coriander seeds and white pepper. While complex, this beer felt a little timid as well. The hops and phenols were quite strong in the finish. This is one beer that will be helped tremendously by an Imperial version, as the current release feels watery. A good throw in into the IPA 12 pack.
