Poured from 22oz bottle into a pint glass.
Appearance: medium orange hue with a light haze and a moderate effervescence. Head is two fingers of pillowy ivory foam which leave a nice lace. Pretty nice!
Smell: a thick wheaty aroma, not unlike a weizenbock, blends decently well with the coriander. The whole concoction is a little bit sickly-sweet, but it's not too bad.
Taste: the malt is kind of Bock-like, but it's not as well executed as it could be. Not bad, just not wonderful. The salt is relatively mild, although perceptible. It's decent, but not a paragon of the style.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and a concomitant creaminess. Possibly the best part of this beer.
Overall: this is a decent stab at the style, but a lot of things have to go right to end up with a good Gose. A good try, but it falls a little bit short.
