That first sip is all lemon! I was hoping for more of a “brewed with lemon peels” vibe. The more you drink, the more accustomed you’ll get to the mix of beer and lemon-lime. You can get the same result by dropping a shot of Sierra Mist into a Budweiser. The best compliment I can give this is, it wouldn’t prevent me from purchasing a Sam Adams variety pack, next summer.

Purchased in the Ditch Days of Summer Variety Pack. Kinda sweet. Good smell, strong lemon taste. Prefer Leinenkugel Summer Shandy’s much, much more. Ok beer, may purchase again.

Crystal clear pale gold on the pour with a quickly dissipating head and nil lacing. Smells wheat-forward to me. I dunno if that's common of radlers or not. There's also plenty of lemon to go 'round. Smells OK, I guess, if slightly medicinal. Ricola! Tastes largely as it smells. Finishes a bit heavy on the lemon without much in the way of bitterness. Odd, but I suspect this is exactly what someone searching for a radler is looking for. It's light and airy and fizzy and is a perfectly acceptable beverage in a scorching heat wave.

12oz can.

Smells like lemon cough drops. An artificial sweet lemon-drop flavor on the palate. Finishes sweet and artificial-like.

That was decent. Very refreshing. Distinctive lemonade feel while still being a beer. Barely a beer though so I don't see myself buying it again as I'm rarely looking for something like this.

I picked this one up for a build your own 6pk without even realizing what it was all about. When I read the description on the back right before drinking it, it said that the drink was inspired by German cyclists who mixed beer with lemonade to quench their thirst on hot summer days. I was shocked by how delicious and refreshing this one was. It sort of reminded me of a lemon lime Gatorade beer, which might sound odd, but I could easily see myself killing a 12pk of these.

A good beer for what it is. Easy to drink especially when it's scorching out. It's not as good as some in similar styles but it is more than good enough to session when it's hot enough.

There is a notch on the side of the label over "OCT" with the text "FRESHNESS MATTERS. ENJOY BEFORE MONTH NOTCHED."

Appearance: The body is a medium shade of gold with very good clarity. It has a short white cap with small bubbles and decent head retention. It fades out to a film with a thin ring of foam around the edge of the glass but it still manages to keep the surface somewhat covered. Some tiny spots form on the edge of the glass and disappear but no real lacing. The color and clarity are very good.

Aroma: There is a lemon-lime scent which is obvious but still somewhat subtle. It smells a bit like a limeade.

Taste: Lemon-lime flavor up front with a bit of a soft wheat flavor. The middle of the palate has a bit more of that sweet and gentle wheat-like flavor. The beer stays the same throughout drinking but it tapers off quite a bit towards the rear of the palate.

Mouthfeel: It is a light but soft beer which gives it a slight elevation in palate presence. It is easy drinking and enjoyable. The finish is a bit lackluster but the overall drinking experience is good.

Overall: The front of the label states that this is a "LEMON RADLER" and the rear label states that "THIS BEER WAS INSPIRED BY GERMAN CYCLISTS WHO MIXED BEER WITH LEMON-LIME FLAVORS." It definitely has a lemon-lime flavor and it is a good tasting beer. There is a slightly sweet wheat flavor to the beer which balances well with the light citric acidity. As a whole I would recommend giving it a shot and it's good enough that I would drink it again.

I know opinions are just that but. I'm calling BS on these low ass scores.. makes me think half the folks wouldn't know a Radler if it slapped them in the face.

Definitely not the best example of the style I've ever had but it's the best offering in the Summer pack for my money...

Light and refreshing. Lemon and lime flavors...crisp as all get out. Its 86 here today and humid. Super refreshing sipper while recovering from a long day of yard work.

Will buy this summer
