A - A very clean and clear blond with a pure white head.
S - Not much in the aroma department. However, it did kind of smell like corn and rice that is usually only sensed in adjunct brews, which was pretty disappointing.
T - The malts didn't really come through in the flavor and neither did any of the spices that you would expect out of a traditional witbier. There was some hints of citrus (lemon/orange) though, but that was pretty much it. There was a little bitterness from the hops, but there was no real flavor that they added. Overall, the flavor just kind of fell flat with a one-dimensional taste.
M - Nothing exceptional, but a well-carbonated light bodied beer.
D - The low abv makes it easy to drink, but the lack of flavor and complexity make this hard to throw back.
This was part of the Sam Adams Winter Collection, and this is one that I would take to a holiday party and hope the other guests finish it.
