My terrific wife got me a Sam Adams winter 12-pack. Several interesting beers in there--this is the first I'm reviewing.
For a white ale, this is pretty translucent. Not terribly impressed--looks somewhat like a cloudy average Big Brew ale.
Smells okay. Some spice--can't tell what--reminds me of a pumpkin ale.
Tastes fine. Nothing too special, but certainly not bad.
Mouthfeel is average--there's a little bite.
Pretty drinkable--I think I could probably have a few of these.
Overall, there are a lot of shortcomings for this beer as a white ale, but it's a pretty decent, totally drinkable beer.
