Had on tap at Bob's Pub. I like this place...plus the bartender plays drums for the hardcore band Blood In/Blood Out.
A-Poured into a Sam Adams pint glass. Poured nice golden straw color with a quater inch head that went away to almost nothing. Left lacing on the glass that tended to slide down and not stick. Hazy looking beer.
S-Nice malty/wheaty smell. I can also smell some citrus and spices as well (clove maybe?). Not much of an alcohol smell at all just wheat and citrus overpower everything.
T-This tastes like a wheaty citrus beer for sure. The wheat is the first thing I notice almost right after the taste of spicy citrus goodness. There is a sweetness to it that I can't put my finger on along with a yeast taste (slighty doughy).
M- Crisp light and refreshing. This beer has good carbination to it. Glides over the palate and the only thing I didn't like was the yeasty feel that coated the tounge with a aftertaste once the beer was gone.
D-Overall, I personally enjoyed this beer with the time of year it seems fitting. I don't think I would personally go out and buy a sixer of it but at the bar it's a nice fit. Nice going Sam Adams.
