Best before June 07. Saw a 12 of this and got excited, this is my favorite Samuel Adams seasonal.
The appearance is excellent -- amber-y golden orange color, nice and cloudy, with a head that just filled the pint glass and settles neatly into a nice cap on the ale. Only thing I could wish for is better head retention.
Wheat base is the main smell, could be confused for an APWA. Grainy, lemony, the spices remind me of the SA summer seasonal.
Taste is malty, still largely wheat with some lemon. Some mild generic hops, coriander is there. Malts aren't very sweet (not a bad thing). Missing a lot of flavors served cold, I let one sit around last night and it developed a lot as it warmed.
Mouthfeel is gushing bubbles, substantial but not thick -- mouthfeel? It feels good.
I can have a few of these, and it is a good spring beer, for drinking outside when it's rainy and not that warm yet. Nothing too deep going on, not as complex as I'd remembered it unfortunately. I like the labels too (hey I'm just saying). A little pricey though. Let it warm up.
