Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Sam Adams cup
A- Copper, 1 1/2" fluffy off white head
S- Super nutty malts, spices, berries, herbal notes
T- Roasted nutty malts, caramel, spicies, berries
M- Creamy medium body, average carbonation
O- Very nice beer, besides the added spices there's really nothing to unique about this brew. It's just, IMO, exactly what a brown ale should be like. Most breweries make their brown ales too watered down (including sam smith) for my taste and I always feel like if they would just add more malts, it would be the brown ale i'm looking for. Sam adams did just that, creating a cream, nutty malt bomb. A great example of the style.
