Starting with appearance, this lager has an orange- colored, cloudy, unfiltered body, a nice amount of fluffy white foam that tends to stick around, and a nose that reminds me of blueberry cereal. There are some other fruits lingering in the background, but the scent of blueberries dominates.

Blueberry Hill Lager is a fruity beer and, as expected, the taste of blueberries dominates. But there are other flavors going on here, flavors such as light citrus, honey, and lightly toasted malt. Bitterness is subdued and fruitiness shines through, even though still malty enough to taste the way a beer should.

This beer has a creamy mouthfeel and while not the best balanced fruit beer I have ever tried, it is still good enough to earn a passing mark. It does seem like a good summertime brew and it’s a nice addition to the Samuel Adams 12- pack summer sampler.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy golden color with a nice white head. The carbonation is really impressive. Although the head receeds too quickly, the incredible carbonation keeps things in play and there is lacing all the way down.

Smell: Only sweet blueberries.

Taste: A fruity/citrusy blueberry blend.

Mouthfeel: Watery and light, awesome and perfect carbonation.

I love this beer. It's different, delicious, and satisfying. I could drink this beer all day and be happy. I love the carbonation feel in my mouth. This beer is good for any occasion whether it be mowing or partying.

12 oz bottle. Best before August 2014. Served in a pint glass

Appearance: Pours a golden orange color with 2 fingers of a white soapy head. Body is somewhat hazy with a general unfiltered look and some moderate visible carbonation. Decent head retention and great lacing.

Smell: Sweet blueberry, grape candy, lager yeast and maybe a hint of wheat. Not a whole lot going on outside of the blueberry aroma.

Taste: Pretty much more of the same. Blueberry (which comes off a bit more artificial than in the aroma), cereal grain, slight citrus.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, soft mouthfeel with medium levels of gentle carbonation. Refreshing and finishes relatively clean.

Overall: Pretty straightforward stuff. Not complex and nothing spectacular by any means, but it's refreshing and tasty enough for what it is.
