Summer sampler complete with token fruit wheat fizzy beer to complement the Boston Lager, and the Summer Ale. This one pours bright golden with a slight haziness large slight off white head flowing nicely, leaves behind fine speckled lacing. Aroma gives off some tart notes of citrus and berry jam, pretty one noted sharp wheat accents. Flavor brings tart berry jam with sharp wheat ale acidity, biscuit dough yeast cake action complements with a hint of citrus in each sip. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with full on flowing carbonation not too spritzed up or overdone in anyway linger natural blueberry flavors between sips. Overall not my cup of tea part of a sampler refreshing summery it fills the quota and there's really nothing too off.

This said "lager," hence I poured into a lager glass, seems only logical and fair for a good review here.
The appearance was a semi-rustic sort of pulled glossy rugged hazy orange color with a slim film of foamy white head which didn't leave much lace.
The aroma had only the "sweetness" of the blueberry but not the "tart" skin I tend to look for when analyzing truly brewed "blueberry beers." Some bready malts quaintly followed in in a lager sort of way.
The flavor was sweet all of the way through with the blueberry and bready notes. Aftertaste was the same.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt on par. Finish was pretty smooth, some acceptable stickiness.
Overall, I didn't mind this one so much for me, but it does make me wonder if they used artificial blueberry sweetener in this which well, hmmmmmm....isn't as authentic on the blueberries as I would have hoped for. Not so sure about this one again.

3-way blueberry beer taste test. 1-Sam Adams Blueberry Hill Lager. 2-Fegleys Blueberry Belch, 3-DuClaw Blueberry Citrus Wheat.
So this was the best of a dubious group.
