A transparent deep red/amber, a thin white head receding to a frothy ring around the glass
A light smokiness, similar peat notes you associate with Scottish whisky. Pleasant sweetness in the start and middle. A distinctive but not overpowering aroma.
A malty brew, sweet initially then a smokiness develops in the middle of the mouth before a light bitterness appears at the back. Very well balanced, the smokiness does not overpower. Very tasty.
Medium carbonation and a medium body. Slightly denser liquid than I expected, it coats the mouth well
A fine brew, the peated malts do produce a distinctive addition to the taste but not where it dominates the flavour. Very drinkable.
