Pours a cloudy straw with half a finger of head that dissipates almost immediately. The nose has some citrus notes in it. This offering tastes like a standard wit with a touch of nutmeg and other holiday spices added. The finish is rather basic as well. Nothing special here.

The name is the only thing about this beer that justifies its inclusion in the 2012 Winter Classics pack. There is nothing winter Seasonal about wits and it replaced the Black and Brew which I thought was an above average coffee stout.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy honey color with a rather modest head; the retention was not very impressive nor was the lacing

Smell: Banana, orange peel, cinnamon and nutmeg; more sweet than spicy

Taste: Overripe banana and spice cake flavors, up front, with increasing sweetness developing in the middle; though the orange peel was detected in the aroma, it is only vaguely present in the flavor profile, as this is much more about the banana and holiday spice flavors

Mouthfeel: Light bodied with moderate carbonation

Overall: Wits aren't my favorite style and this is not one of my favorite Wits

Poured a hazy orange color with about an inch of foam that spent itself quickly. Sme decent lacing in a Sam's pint. Aroma was typical wheat beer, very faint on the spices. Noted orange, nutmeg, cinnamon, maybe cardamom?, coriander. Taste was average. Nothing outstanding, but nothing bad either. Some spice notes, typical wheat beer haylike flavor. Lingered a bit on the tongue, but somewhat thin mouthfeel overall. Nice carbonation level. Wife liked it...

Bottle poured into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint Glass

A- white head settles into a nice lacing above a pale golden hay colored beer.

S-Malted grains, wheat, orange, spices, cloves and more.

T- spices dominate taste with a little bit of the malts coming through

M- Spices upfront , sweet maltiness dry bitter finish.

A nice spicy winter beer.

The White Christmas can in a Holiday mixed pack...a much better replacement to the Cranberry Lambic. The beer pours a cloudy yellow with thin white head that is not lacing. Definitely smell the orange peel....not so much the nutmeg and cinnamon. The taste starts with a crisp citrus start and then the spice bolstered by the cinnamon kicks in. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a tasty beer...but it will not replace Fizzywig or Holiday Porter as my favs.

This beer poured from the bottle and was cloudy gold/yellow in colour. Smelled slightly of hops and spices; mostly ginger and cinnamon. The taste instantly reminded me of gingerbread. Slight hop and wheat after taste.

Would I buy this beer again? Probably not.

A; 2 finger white puffy head, hazy golden straw color, medium carbonation

S: orange peel, bready malt, touch of wheat, coriander, citrus, and a slight cinnamon and i think i smell the nutmeg as well

T: a sweet bready malt with a big citrus/orange peel and spice wave at the end, banana, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove are present at the end.

M: medium bodied from the wheat and a decent carb, a touch sweet for my taste however

O: decent beer, nothing special, i like the spring wheats better

Samuel Adams White Christmas has a thick, frothy, slightly off-white head, a hazy yellow-golden appearance, lots of streaming bubbles, and a thin lacing sheen left on the glass. The aroma is of white wheat bread and spices. Taste is of the same, and one will encounter no bitterness, here. Mouthfeel is medium and soft, and Samuel Adams White Christmas finishes slick, easy going, and drinkable. Overall, this is a stereotypical Christmas beer, and I think it’s worth trying.

Tan and hazy with a half finger head that didn't last long and left ok lace.

Definitely lots of clove aroma, banana, spices, a little yeast.

Taste is spicier than a typical wit, festive and xmas like. Wheat, cloves, banana, cinnamon, and yeast fill the flavor.

Body is light and easy drinking with a spicy finish.

Overall it's pretty average.

A - Looks like orange juice, with a quickly receiding quarter finger of white head. No lacing.

S - Banana, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, pie crust. Not what I expected, but good!

T - Banana, cinnamon, lots of pie crust, a bit pumpkiny as well. I can't believe nobody else has picked up on this.

M - Almost no carbonation with a medium body.

O - Overall, my favorite out of the winter classics pack. Would be a great beer for the fall as well as the winter. I'd have again.
