One of the worst Sam Adams offerings. Awful, almost sickening smell and a taste that matches it. Putrid odor. Not sure why these guys thought drinking potpurri would be a good idea. Looks like any other Belgian Wit beer, in terms of color and clarity. Mouthfeel and carbonation are all completely normal, but the smell combined with the flavor profile make this absolutely off-putting.

Hazy faded blonde, a little darker than blond with a white head that dissipates very quickly.

Smells like the holiday, mostly nutmeg with a bit of cinnamon. Slightly perfumey and wheaty as well. Tastes like spice. Drinkable but overly spice with the faintest of beer flavors such as wheat. Too sweet, not balanced, too much spicy. Tastes like licking the wax paper you just cooked holiday sugar cookies on.

Just Sam releasing two seasonals to take up more shelf space, the more limited of which (being this one along with their pumpkin and shandy) that are made for the masses with simple and relate-able ingredients and are on the sweet side. Sigh

Pours out a hazy golden blond with a half inch white head that shrinks quickly. There is spotty lacing as the glass dwindles.

There are banana bread, clove, and cinnamon notes int he smell.

Mild carbonation delivers the first sip, and the sweet wheat flavor is up front, with orange citrus accents, and some mild spices, like clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon. This is a very light bodied wheat bear, but is leaves a slightly syrupy after taste and texture in my mouth. The flavors of clove, banana, and cinnamon linger on the pallet, along with the sweet syrupness aforementioned.

Not my favorite offering from Boston Brewing Company. A pale wheat ale with some flavors injected that just don't work.

Bottle with a BB date of April from this year's winter sampler pack.

A-Poured into a pint glass this brew yields a thick finger of loosely bubbled snow white foam. Very cloudy and an ugly yellow/brown color. Very bubbly.

S-Wheat and yeast forward.

T-The nutmeg and cinnamon are very strong in this beer. Overshadows the soft wheat flavor and moderate yeast esters. A bit of orange here but not as dominant as the other spices.

M-Creamy, highly carbonated

O-Tastes a bit remniscent of egg nog with the combination of spices and creamy mouthfeel. The carbonation is too much and takes away from the smooth potential of this brew. An admitted Belgian wheat snob this beer is an ok drink but just doesn't cut it for me.
