Hazy cloudy straw color. Thick off white head with nice lacing.

Orange citrus really pops out in the nose with a little bit of lemon rind in the back.

Taste is citrusy with a little bit of orange sweetness. Refreshing summertime beer very thirst quenching.

Medium bodied. perfect for this style of unfiltered wheat. Love that slightly creamy texture.

overall I like this beer. Honestly its pretty much a summer ale with slighty more of an orangey character. Actually , and I hate to say this, its a slightly less good Blue Moon. Coors made a better product than Sam? Is snow falling on Satan?

Poured into a perfect pint.

3.75 A: Moderately hazed dark yellow color. Two fingers of pillowy white head. Retention is good and a moderate amount of lacing is left.

3.75 S: Mountain stream freshness is the first thing that comes to mind. Next comes coriander and possibly some orange peel. Neutral wheatiness with light pepper from the yeast. Overall quite pleasant.

3.75 T: The taste takes the nose and adds a powerful citrus component. Orange, lemon, and even some mango and pineapple enter the fray. Again a neutral wheat, coriander, orange peel, and pepper.

4.0 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Moderate creaminess that goes down quite well.

4.0 D: Pretty good beer with no real faults.

12 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, best before August 2013. Pours hazy golden amber color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, tangerine, orange peel, pear, coriander, pepper, wheat, light clove, and yeast earthiness. Ok aromas with solid balance of malt, spice, and yeast notes; but it is very weak. Taste of lemon zest, tangerine, orange peel, pear, coriander, pepper, wheat, bread, light clove, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of citrus, light fruits, coriander, pepper, wheat, bread, light clove, and earthiness on the finish for a bit. Nice and pleasant flavors with good balance of malt, spice, and yeast esters; with a fair amount of robustness and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a slightly creamy and moderately crisp mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very solid witbier. A little weak on flavors; but is well balanced and very easy to drink. A pleasantly enjoyable offering.

Another offering from the brewer that started it all - this one I've tried is White Lantern - and it was good.

From the bottle, just like they describe it, the beer comes out a hazy, but appealing yellow. The head is white, fluffy, and with good staying power and lacing. White Lantern has a citrusy scent to it, with no overpowering hop or malt odors. The mouthfeel was bold and just the right blend of thickness to watery roll across the tongue. I was most impress by the taste - some of the Sam Adams I've had end up disappointing me in this category but not this one. It was smooth and simply delicious. Overall, I gave it a good rating and will be enjoying more of these real soon.

If you drink, please don't drive, but if you drive, then do us all a favor and don't drink...stay safe...

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a 14 oz "pint" glass. Pours a very cloudy orange yellow with a small white head. Smells of wheat and orange, very inviting. Tastes of orange and a little wheat. Beer is carbonated correctly and goes down great, very drinkable light body. Overall, a slightly above average beer.

12 ounce bottle
Served in a pilsner glass

A - This beer pours a hazy, pale yellow in color. I basically got no head on this beer. There is a little foam around the edges. I appears to be off-white in color.

S - The aroma is orange and coriander. I get some pale malt as well.

T - The taste also has the orange and coriander. There is just something blah about it though. The flavor does improve slightly as it warms.

M - Medium with low carbonation. It almost seems flat.

O - There just seems to be something off about this beer. There was no head and an almost flat mouthfeel. The taste was average at best. It is not one of the better beers that I have had from BBC.
