Poured a very clean light amber color with a thick and sticky long lasting white head.
The smell is hoppy, very green with a bit of pine and tropical notes along with a touch of caramel malt.
The flavor has a good amount of substance for a beer this light, a nice bit of bready malt that is quickly overtaken by some decent levels of late hop additions, nicely citrusy with a bit of mango and a long lingering hop bitterness.
The mouthfeel is light with a bit of resiny hop oil.
A pretty decent IPL, easy to drink and about on par with another sam adams stand out Noble Pils.

There is not really an appropriate category under the BJCP for this, so I just rated it in terms of my enjoyment.
Appearance: Light, pale copper; clear. 2 fingers of light tan head, rocky. Ample, continuous carbonation with decent 1/8" retention. Outstanding lacing.
Aroma: Light, tart citrus. Smells like an APA. Really is a pleasant, hoppy, clean aroma.
Taste: Light, dry, clean arrival. Dry & salty across mid-palate. Solid, but not overpowering bitterness. Super-clean finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-to-mid weight. Crisp, clean, astringent.
Overall: This starts out like an APA, then when you expect that malt backbone to come in at the end, it just drops off. Despite that, it doesn't feel out of balance the way many west-coast IPA's do. Instead, it just feels sort of empty. Beautiful to look at & smell, and would certainly be a go-to for a hoppy session beer; but if drinking just one, it leaves a lot wanting.
